This balance sheet, compiled by Joseph Zwinge, S.J. in 1909, shows the different sources of income of the Maryland Province in 1838. Of the five main sources of funds, the most significant was the sale of enslaved persons. These transactions include two different sales to Gov. Henry Johnson, a sale to John Hoover, and the sale of an unnamed boy at St. Thomas' Manor.
